Mar 27,2025The basic refrigeration system of a chiller consists of four major components: compressor, evaporator, condenser, and throttle valve. In addition, there are many auxiliary components such as liquid pipeline solenoid valves, sight glasses, liquid pipeline drying filters, high and low pressure controllers, etc.
Working principle of chiller:
The refrigeration unit compresses the refrigerant into a liquid state through a compressor and sends it to the evaporator for heat exchange with chilled water, cooling the chilled water. The chilled water is then sent to the cooling coils at each fan outlet by the refrigeration pump, and is blown by the fan to achieve the purpose of cooling. After evaporation, the refrigerant releases heat into gas in the condenser. The cooling pump sends the cooling water to the cooling tower for spray cooling by the tower fan, and exchanges heat with the atmosphere to dissipate the heat into the atmosphere.
